Strategic sustainability priorities

EE North America, as an integral part of European Energy, is on a mission to lead the green transition in North America. Our sustainability strategy translates into an ambitious agenda encompassing three strategic sustainability priorities, including environmental, social and governance-related impacts, risks and opportunities, each with clearly defined ambitions, actions and targets.

Within each strategic sustainability priority, we have grouped our material sustainability topics, which we believe we can impact positively by innovating and pioneering solutions that benefit both our planet and people. We are also well aware that the sustainability topics could pose serious risks to our business, our stakeholders and to the planet, if not addressed properly.

Taking Action to Reduce Our Carbon Footprint

At EE North America, we are committed to operating responsibly and minimizing our environmental impact. As part of this commitment, we have partnered with One Tree Planted to offset the carbon footprint of our team’s annual business travel. In fact, we offset nearly double our travel-related emissions last year. This initiative is one of many steps we are taking to integrate sustainability into our daily operations, ensuring that our work to advance clean energy solutions is reflected in how we conduct business.

Integrated reporting is not only in compliance with the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive and its European Sustainability Reporting Standards, but it also reflects the close connection between our core business activities within renewable energy and a sustainable development of our society.
